I'm a people-focused data professional and political strategist based in Minneapolis. I got my start as an organizer in southeastern Minnesota working on electoral campaigns and LGBTQ+ issues. I have broad range of political and data experience, from working with coalition tables and campaigns to nonprofit groups and labor unions.

When it comes to data, I seek to create products and data systems that are accessible, adaptable, and focused on the end-user. I strive to incorporate both an anti-racist and data justice lens in my work.

SENIOR DATA DIRECTOR

Alliance for Youth Action /

Alliance for Youth Organizing

Supported a network of 19 organizations through the development of streamlined data management systems by providing technical and organizing assistance, responding to programmatic requests, and interfacing with vendors and partners
Created and implemented systems to track network-wide metrics being tracked across a variety of systems and platforms and utilized these systems to monitor benchmarks, provide technical assistance, and identify gaps in collective strategy
Provided ongoing coaching and trainings tailored to the various skills levels of 17 network program and data staff on tools and data best practices
Created and oversaw a department budget of $500,000 alongside the department's annual goals and work plan
Hired, trained, and supervised the Alliance Data Manager
Developed a cohesive support strategy to facilitate consistent relationships that resulted in increased communication and support requests from the network
Identified needs, conducted interviews, made hiring recommendations, and then provided oversight and strategic support to a network organization's data contractor resulting in fully established data infrastructure and processes

Directed and oversaw multiple data migrations for organizations looking to implement a new CRM
Created targeting universes, implemented data tracking systems, and conducted a post-election analysis for multiple municipal ballot measure campaigns
Developed and implemented an innovative “data incubator” program designed to increase capacity among targeted c3 organizations in Minnesota
Oversaw the acquisition of data, designed and managed “Restore the Vote” coalition programming to register and turn out newly re-enfranchised people on felony probation and parole

America Votes

Empowered our 33 partner organizations to harness the power of their data and implement their electoral plans by building relationships and providing ongoing support such as strategic guidance and staff training
Implemented creative problem solving and motivational interviewing to address organizations' unique data and technical needs
Administered VAN and other voter contact tools. Created a ThruTalk admin training and resources used nationwide by America Votes Data Directors
Lead the development and presentation of voter contact universes, district targeting, and post-election analysis using various data sources including online survey panels, program data, voter file information, election and census results, and commercial data.
Founded and co-lead organization wide Anti-Racism in Data working group which resulted in the creation of a multi-state paid data fellowship for BIPOC professionals, leveraging AV's weight in the progressive space to increase transparency from data vendors, and an organization wide discussion about centering racial equity principles in targeting
Founded and served as Vice-Chair for the America Votes Workers Union

CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Erin Maye Quade for Senate

Managed a competitive primary campaign resulting in a margin of victory of +30pts, making Erin Maye Quade only the second person to beat a DFL-endorsed candidate in a state legislative primary in more than a decade
Oversaw a campaign budget of $100,000 and managed 6 part-time staff
Developed campaign messaging and strategy as well as targeting universes which predicted likely voters with over 90% accuracy
Wrote copy and designed all campaign materials including mail (see designs)
Coordinated with more than a dozen endorsing organizations

Serve as the inaugural Director of Data and Technology, tasked with building systems to manage complex financial, demographic, research, organizing, and political data for over 23,000 union members across MN, WI, IA, and ND
Designed and oversaw the build out of MNA’s data warehouse infrastructure in BigQuery, bringing together information from multiple databases to aid analysis and reporting projects
Successfully implemented new labor and political organizing tools through interactive staff training and the development of integration workflows to ensure a cohesive data ecosystem for staff and member leaders
Built reporting tools and dashboards to ensure the organization is on track to meet labor and organizing goals, providing particular support to the 2025 coordinated campaign made up of 14 hospitals and 15,000 participating members
Create and oversee the department’s $2.5 million budget alongside the department’s annual goals and work plan
Implemented the organization’s first Membership Audit leading to the discovery of more than $1 million in missed dues and a creation of a roadmap to automate and improve the efficiency and accuracy of membership processes
